Medford, Oregon – Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater

Southern Oregon’s Center of the Performing Arts features high-quality national and international artists in fields of music, dance, Broadway shows, dramatic theater and children’s shows. Local dance, theater, classical and world music and lecture series also take place at this beautifully renovated downtown theater.

The 1000 ac. Rogue River Ranch just north of Medford near Eagle Point was the home of Ginger Rogers from 1940 to 1990. She entertained some of Hollywood’s biggest stars at her ranch on the banks of the Rogue River. A working dairy ranch for many years the ranch supplied milk to nearby Camp White during World War II. A private person, Ginger Rogers sought to put distance between her private life and her fame. There was no comparisons of her glamorous image on screen and her unpretentious home life on the ranch.

Ginger Rogers – 1911 to 1995
Rogers died at the age of 83 in Rancho Mirage, California on April 25, 1995. Ginger Rogers
